Medical Director – Ivan Figueroa, MD
Dr. Figueroa joined Twin Creeks Hospital as medical director in 2009. With his extensive physical medicine and rehabilitation expertise, he provides oversight to our nursing and therapy staff to ensure that our patients are receiving optimal care throughout their stay.
Under the leadership of Dr. Figueroa the patients, along with their families/ supporters, therapists, physicians and clinicians, are all members of the patient’s Rehabilitative Team. Together we focus our efforts to assist in the patient’s recovery, improved independence and discharge to home. He is constantly involved at all levels during a patient’s stay and can be found one-on-one monitoring therapy sessions, making rounds and speaking with families.
On the lighter side, Dr. Figueroa has a quick wit and fantastic sense of humour, he is an exceptionally kind and personal leader who instills confidence and compassion in all that he does. Dr. Figueroa is married with two young daughters, plays recreational softball and as a young boy always wanted to be a professional baseball player.
