Amputee Rehabilitation Program

Twin Creeks Rehabilitation Amputee Rehabilitation Program provides each patient with an individualized treatment program based on a comprehensive evaluation by expert professionals. Our goal is to maximize each patient’s independence and quality of life.

Twin Creeks offers Pre-and Post-prosthetic Programs to:
  • Promote healing
  • Ensure prosthetic fit
  • Improve strength, endurance, and range of motion
  • Provide education to the patient and family, including proper prosthesis use and coping skills
  • Facilitate independence with home and other community activities

Twin Creeks’ interdisciplinary team draws on the expertise and experience of physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists to ensure the delivery of quality care.

The team includes:
  • Physicians who manage patient’s complex medical needs
  • Rehabilitation nurses who provide compassionate care to each patient
  • Physical and Occupational therapists who involve patients in an individualized intensive treatment program for a minimum of three hours daily
  • Neuropsychologists who help deal patients deal with amputee’s wide range of emotional and social concerns
  • Dieticians who monitor and develop individualized meal plans to ensure proper nutrition to promote healing
  • Case Managers who coordinate a patient’s stay and discharge plans
