Traumatic Brain Injury Program

The Traumatic Brain Injury Program addresses the individual’s physical and functional limitations, and a range of psychological, emotional, and social issues. Features of our Traumatic Brain Injury Program include:

  • Comprehensive evaluations by all members of the treatment team to assess mobility, activities of daily living, swallowing/cognitive impairments, other health conditions
  • Rehabilitation program designed to address each client’s particular treatment issues. Our team approach is used to identify the specific treatment options that best meet the individual’s needs.

In order to meet treatment objectives, Twin Creeks utilize a variety of specialists in the fields of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

  • Neurologists - physicians that are experts in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the brain and spinal cord
  • Rehabilitation Nurses
  • Physical Therapists
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Speech and Language Pathologists
  • Dieticians
  • Social Workers - help patients make decisions about rehabilitation programs, living arrangements, insurance, and support services in the home
  • Neuropsychologists - diagnoses and treats patients facing changes in thinking, memory, and behavior

Patients at Twin Creeks Hospital receive around the clock nursing and a minimum of three (3) hours of therapy, seven days a week.  Our goal is to improve the functional living skills of persons recovering from disabling medical illness or injury.
