Nursing Care With Compassion and ProfessionalismAt Twin Creeks Hospital, our 24 hour team of nurses are committed to helping patients regain their strength and maximize their independence. Our nurses are experienced in treating all types of injuries, illnesses and chronic conditions. They possess specialized knowledge and clinical skills that are necessary to care for patients with temporary or permanent physical disabilities. The nurses at Twin Creeks Hospital are all ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certified through the American Heart Association. The nursing department at Twin Creeks Hospital utilizes hourly care rounds to insure that patients have the highest quality care. Nursing supervisors round every hour from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on all patients. The supervisor will not wake the patients unless a physician has asked them to do so. Hourly rounds demonstrate an increase in the effectiveness of pain management, a decrease in call light usage, and a reduction in fall rates. Many of our nurses are certified registered rehabilitation nurses or registered nurses who have studied and focused his or her practice on the specialized knowledge and clinical skills needed to care for people with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. These nurses coordinate with all of the disciplines involved with the patient care for effective education and discharge planning. The rehabilitation nurse works diligently to find the most effective way for the patient and families to succeed. We strive to make a difference in each patient’s recovery process by maintaining a low ratio of patients to nurses. Our nurses work very closely, day in and day out, with our therapy department, continually updating and coordinating each patient’s plan of care. The Interdisciplinary team approach ensures each patient receives the optimal opportunity for recovery. |
